Jennifer Schaefer, MD

Board-certified in obstetrics/gynecology since 2000. Dr. Schaefer has been in private practice at OB-Gyne Associates of Libertyville since 1998. She treats patients at the Libertyville, IL, office location and has staff privileges at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL.

Dr. Schaefer earned her Bachelor of Science with high honors in Biology from DePaul University, Chicago, IL, in June 1990, and her Doctorate of Medicine in May 1994 from Rush Medical College of Rush University, Chicago, IL. Her obstetrics and gynecology residency training was conducted at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, an affiliate of the University of Illinois, from July 1994 to June 1998.

Dr. Schaefer is a member of the American Medical Association, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Lake County Medical Society, Illinois State Medical Society, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Laparoscopic surgery, endometrial ablative procedures, hysteroscopic tubal occlusion, adolescent gynecology, and mentoring premed students/physicians in training are Dr. Schaefer’s professional interests.
