About Me

Board-certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology since 2005, Dr. Nakanishi has been in private practice at Ob-Gyne Associates of Libertyville since 2003.  She treats patients at the Libertyville, IL office, and has staff privileges at Advocate Condell Medical Center.

Dr. Nakanishi earned her Bachelor of Science, Industrial Engineering and Management Science, from Northwestern University, McCormick School of Engineering, 1993.  She worked as a systems analyst for two years prior to entering medical school in 1995.  She then received her Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI, 1999.  Her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training was conducted at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Chicago, IL, July 1999 – June 2003.

Dr. Nakanishi is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  Her professional interests include adolescent gynecology, minimally invasive surgery (including the use of the DaVinci surgical robot), and preventive medicine.  Named Top Doctor, Chicago Magazine, 2019, 2020 and 2021 . She is fluent in English and Japanese.
